Pros and cons of Word Mage app for iPhone and iPad

Word Mage app good for

Fast paced, a nice brain workout and good presentation. A bit short so looking forward to a content update!
Great game thats very much like a Boggle RPG. Game is quite short though and getting the needed items for new powers can be a bit grindy but overall, great fun while it lasts.
For any fan of words and word games, especially ones like Boggle and the like, Word Mage gets my highest recommendation. I cant wait for more levels.
Lots of fun, hope to see more levels but already well worth the small amount they are asking. Great sound and graphics. I got a kick out of some of the monsters defence mechanisms, they really keep it fresh as you progress. Upgrades are a bit scattershot (not your typical RPG ladder grind), but there is a decent variety. Game loads and runs nice and quickly on iPhone 4!
Not perfect, but enjoyable for what it is. :) It could use some balancing, and the inventory/upgrade system is a bit too constrained for my liking. Word-based combat is just plain fun! Its like high-stakes fantasy boggle.
This game is just fun. Its like Bookworm on crack. I absolutely love it - and Im not a big word game lover. But the desire to go fast due to the time running out and enemy attacks makes me never want to stop playing... Great game - get it. The only downside is the forced scarcity of the backpack size.

Some bad moments

Im not much of a gamer but I find this game super enjoyable to play.
Been playing for weeks now (since betas). Thematically and mechanically interesting, makes a simple game - that would be fun on its own - much more. Very high replayability. One of very few games I enjoy on the phone.
This game manages to make a simple boggle-like word game play like an old school RPG. And it doesnt feel forced or gimmicky whatsoever. It feels very natural and elegant. Addictive, rewarding gameplay, great sound and graphics, just really great buy all around. Highly recommended.
This game is a really nice twist on the usual word search puzzles. You have to defeat enemies by spelling words, with longer words giving more points (damage). Its very addictive, and there are lots of fun twists. You need to kill enemies to get treasures that earn you new powers (like a magic spell that finds words for you) or so that you can increase the power when words use certain letters. Some of the enemies have to be defeated in tricky ways (I wont spoil it). But I dont think its so complicated that people should be turned off, you can basically play word search if you want.
Very clever spin on the classic scramble game. Nice graphics and seamless gameplay.
This game is so well balanced. Art is dead on and I have never felt so compelled to keep spelling. Really hit the nail on the head!
